Re: Knight Academy

It was a very rare occasion for Elizabeth to come out.
Usually happening once every couple hundred years, but always in the physical realm. In the demonic realm Elizabeth could rest, and forget her worries. It was pleasant for Elizabeth, so the demonic realm became their home. The only place where they could both feel safe. Humans where untrustworthy and driven by emotions, but with demons you always knew exactly what you where getting. There was a subtle comfort in that promise.
Elizabeth knew what would come next.
What happened before would never happen again.
However her time in the spiritual realm eventually left her body weak and famished, forcing her to return. Or more recently, bombarded by the annoyances and pestering of a particular ‘peer’.
Both occasions had their ups and downs, though overall they were still aggravating. As was the relationship as a whole.
Nimue couldn’t be free of Elizabeth, and roam the earth that fascinated her without the atrocities of the past plaguing her.
Elizabeth on the other hand couldn’t sink into the quiet darkness of the demonic realm, with her body deteriorating and Nimue forcing her back.
It was and endless game of tug of war. Both sides only winning when Elizabeth pulled herself together enough to come out. While Nimue protected her, that was what she hoped for in the future. Because when Elizabeth came out, her missing half was restored. That was why they’d come back. To learn of human ties, and hopefully how to obtain them. How to be human.
Or if nothing else, how to cut themselves loose and finally be a demon.
Their home was fragile, built of glass around them... And the outside was no different. So regardless of whether they stayed or went, they would have touch ground solid enough to support their weight.
Until Elizabeth could come out, and fall through the glass.
Surely underneath there would be something to catch them.

Clenching her fists as her father began, Nimue took in a deep breath as an old but familiar mixture of rage and sorrow bubbles up within her. Now he’d done it.
Elizabeth.
A first only a single tear trickled down her otherwise emotionless face. All the while Nimue remained silent, refusing to speak on her counterparts behalf despite the splitting headache it gave her. If he continued, he’d soon discover that (despite his desire to see his daughter) Nimue was his only ally in that body.
Elizabeth would tear him to pieces.
That was why Nimue stuck around.
If anyone got her out, it’d be Cross.
“...Congratulations? That’s all you have to say to me?” With that, Nimue was gone. Her tone that once rang with authority, now shook. Cracking under the pressure of a broken girl, who hadn’t the strength to fix herself. “You’ve know his location this whole time, and yet you’ve never bothered to learn his name?”
Then she broke, glaring up at him with a burning hatred lacing her now brown orbs. Nothing special or glowing, just an empty normal coloring. “How could you turn your back on him?! He could’ve been hurt in that attack had Nimue not stepped in! Do you even care about anyone but yourself? You call this group your family, while you abandon your own! I hate you!” Sobbing violently while swinging her arm out to knock the food off the counter, Elizabeth let out a scream of utter agony while holding her head.
It was time again.
She needed to see her mother.
“...Nimue will be back in a few days.” Speaking softly after she finished, Elizabeth’s eyes turned blue just before she vanished.

An unfamiliar voice rang out from behind him, causing Derek to spin on his heels. After a moment, he realized this had to be his contractor, the man who hired him. That shock to his brain probably killed quite a few random memories, but it was no matter. At least he could report his success in person, and his resignation. His vision going fully black from the sedatives, losing consciousness for a moment, he opened his eyes to find himself bound by stones in the shape of chains. Trying to move his broken arm and pull free, he couldn't muster the strength. Without his kinetic energy stores, he was a regular person. He didn't know what Lucifer wanted, but his facial expression had transformed from one of regret to one of rage since Derek had passed out for a moment. Then, he saw the sparks. He knew what was about to happen.

"I guess it doesn't matter now, but I'm done with you Sinnaboys... You've served your purpose, like any organization you're nothing but imperial despots! Now move, or die." Managing to free his electrocuted arm, shaking from the exertion, he aimed it for Lucifer. When the body runs out of energy, it begins to eat away at itself for survival. When without kinetic energy, Derek could do the same- Convert his own flesh to power to fight back. "A true hero of society, will, never, go, quietly!" As Lucifers' power began to work on his right side, Derek consumed his own body, converting matter to power. One final blast.

Raging forth from his palm, everything in his vision and beyond detonated. The small pitstop town they were in ceased to be in an instant, everything in the path of the shockwave reduced to dust. A scream was drowned out by the blast as Derek released his being to his new enemy, a dustcloud flying past and all the way into the heart of Avalon. Clouds fell as sheets of rain, and the very air itself boomed like thunder.

Stopping the flow of energy forcefully, Derek opened his eyes to look upon the dead Lucifer.

Lucifer stood behind him. In his rage, Derek had broken free and fallen past him. Turning his head as his tattered body fell into the crater he had made, Derek was fully consumed. Torn, burnt, and stretched clothing were all that remained, blowing into the wind as air rushed back into the blast zone. Once they were gone, it was almost like Derek had never been there. The only things he left behind were a widow, and a grave stretching a mile wide, which he dug with his own hand.

All of cross’ attention was on the castle he was remaking, this was a subject he rather not talk about. Especially with Elizabeth... glancing over to Elizabeth every now and then as she began to interrogate him “There was no need to know his name, it’s actually better if we stayed out his live. Though but how things have been going lately... it is impossible to not cross paths” putting the final piece of his castle. He stood up to get a better look at his masterpiece, glancing at his daughter as she threw another tantrum over something that didn’t concern her “i did not know he would be at the mall today, if you’re so worried about him then just bring him here. I’m sure he’ll gladly come with you” he said and looked back at his castle made out of cards “keep your voice down child.” The table moved a bit when she knocked down the food, causing the castle to fall, one would usually be frustrated about that... but Cross’ face expression never changed from a blanked one. He turned to see Elizabeth once again before she started screaming in agany. His hand reached out for her but vanished before he could reach her “Elizabeth...”

Back at Avalon, Oran and the rest of the students watched as the number 2 hero went to work. His power was a pretty good counter for this villain, though he was able to escape in the end. Once Oran finally got to catch a break, his shoulder began to cause him pain. It was shattered at some point during his fight with the villain. The ambulances came to help whoever was in need, and so did maxwell. He was supposed to enjoy a small vacation with his wife for their anniversary, but once he got word of his student being in a brawl with a villain he came back almost immediately. Scolding the kids about not jumping into danger once they were all released from the hospital. The schools security levels increased along with Maxwells. He was gonna keep an eye on all of the student to make sure they were safe. The next few weeks were pretty quiet, almost too quiet... everything seemed normal for once. Everyone attended to class without having villains trying to kill them, and so they finally reached the midpoint of the year. It was time to take their midterms, Oran didnwhat he usually did for test. He slept in the library so that Divinity thought he was actually studying. In the end he still passed the midterms with a C’s and B’s.

Walking back to his dorm Oran heard his grandfather was going to a meeting with some important people he didn’t care about. Perfect opportunity! Last time they were gonna have the party is was ruined by that maniac at the mall, strangely enough they never heard of him again. Maybe he’ll be laying low for a bit. This tome roan took the time to go and buy all the stuff he needed for the party. Food, beverages, sweets, and other stuff. Finally sending a message on the group chat just like last time.

Oran: Party at my place later tonight, i know you guys are stressed about finals so one chill >Smile

I invited other classes as well so they house is gonna be packed.

It starts at 8 pm lol

Miri found herself neglecting homework in favor of the company of the plants. The past few weeks had been slow and emotionally taxing, her abstainment from the shopping trip caused her great grief. She could have protected them better if she had been by their side. Alas she only drew further away from her classmates in the end. She wasn't quite certain why.

Ignoring the her phone's buzzing at first, the small dark haired girl bounced from pruning a bush of holly to tending a row of white lilies. The holiday season were approaching after all. She'd need something to send to her mother. Finally running out of work to distract her Miri flipped her cellphone open, zeroing in on Oran's message first.

sounds like a plan stan be there or be square friends B)

She didn't bother checking any of the other messages.

It was a quiet scene by the time the police arrived. At that point there wasn't much left to do but treating those that survived... and cleaning up those that didn't. This time he had been healed up by the paramedics rather than Divinity, he figured he'd let her rest a little after that outburst of her power she had used earlier. Magnus had convinced the number 2 hero, Alistair, to let him copy his knowledge of the Martial Arts. He would have to go to Alistair's office to talk about the hero internship but at least now he had something he could work on. His own body was rather honed and strong but it would still to refit and adapt all that muscle memory to his own body. If his Memory Alteration ability was stronger then he'd be able to transform those memories directly into a form compatible with his body, but alas he still had much to improve even with that power. So he would have to do most of it the old-fashioned way by practicing with Alistair but already having all of the requisite knowledge downloaded onto his brain would be a big help.

When they returned to the school the mood had become even more somber. After everyone had recovered they even got a talking to by Maxwell, who was obviously just as worried about the attacks as the students were. The security was increased and students left the school far less often but eventually the atmosphere calmed down and school progressed like normal. Midterms came around and it seemed to Magnus that many of the students were secretly grateful to have something to distract them from the thoughts of the two recent attacks.

Magnus had no worries when it came to tests like these because he was able to memorize all of the material the moment he learned it for the first time. He walked out of the exam hall with all A's, not having stressed at all about them. He almost wished he needed to focus on studying because instead he spent more time mulling over the disastrous events of the past month. He definitely hadn't expected that becoming a hero student would immediately make him a target for villains but he knew that normally wasn't the case. At this point he just wanted to take his mind off of that stuff. He walked quietly to his dorm room and flopped down on his bed not sure what he wanted to do. He wasn't even sure how everybody else, especially Divinity, was holding up. Well he did know Divinity was doing worse and wasn't even going to school at the moment. He had promised during class the day of the attack that he'd help her make sense of the vision nightmares she was getting but got swept up and forgotten for a bit in the chaos while they were trying to recover from the mall.

A few days after they had physically recovered he visited Divinity to talk about and have her share the visions she'd been having. He accepted those memories and was immediately horrified. The setting of the visions was hard to describe because there wasn't much left of it since it was engulfed in flame and smoke and crumbling buildings. Every vision had at least one face, the face of a dead classmate. It included practically everyone from their class, including himself. Seeing himself dead was certainly an odd and unsettling experience so he now knew why Divinity was in such a troubled state. It took awhile for Heidi's, Zion's, and his own face to show up. He offered to remove the memories of the visions to let her 'reset' her mental state but she refused. For all the visions he had now seen and all the analysis he'd done, the only thing that he'd figured out was the visions seemed to take place at the school. At least the earlier visions took place there. He had no clue about the later ones in which he showed up. There wasn't much else he could find. Before leaving as he was hugging her goodbye he used his power to remove some of the mental burden from her mind without telling her and went back to the school.

His little flashback was interrupted by the jingle of text messages being received by his phone. "From Oran?" The group message stated that the party was back on... but Magnus wasn't really feeling like it at the moment. He knew that he should go not just for himself to relax but to help the others have a chance to let off some stress, especially his newfound cousin.

His eyes widened suddenly before he sat up quickly on his bed in excitement. "That's right, it's been two week since I last called! That's the perfect idea!" The last time he had spoken to his guardian was after the mall to let him know that he alright, again. He picked up his phone and dialed the only contact he had under favorites. A smile graced his face as soon as he heard the voice of the person on the other end of the line.

~Some time later~

Feeling rejuvenated as he hung up the phone he happily texted the group that he'd be on his way to the party soon. His guardian would always have that effect on him. "I outta get ready for this party don't I, it's already 7."

After taking a shower he went to his closet and pulled out everything he needed for his outfit, his power was also useful for remembering what clothes he had and where they were. He put on dark jeans and threw on a plain blue shirt and a grey plaid shirt over it leaving it unbuttoned before slipping his wallet and phone into his pockets and heading out the door.

Magnus arrived at the two-story house just before 8, but it didn't seem like many people were there probably just Oran and Divinity. He knew it was the correct house because he'd been there before when he was helping Divinity with the visions. He went up to the door and knocked with his head because his hands were full with alcoholic beverages. "It's Magnus!" he called out.

Tanning on the roof, Varen thought randomly to himself. He drifted between what cost him the 2% on the final test, he'd gotten 100% on everything else, to what to have for dinner, where the villain from the mall went, and how his bestgirl Notora would handle the situation. He hadn't caught up on the new season of Amiran yet, mostly because Notora had died at the season twelve finale... He kept meaning to, but something was stopping him. Getting lost in thought, he only noticed the time once the sun fell behind a thick cloud, making him feel like he'd been dropped in ice water. Rolling on the spot to grab his shirt, he nearly fell over the edge of the roof. Catching himself, he crawled back up and reclothed himself. He doubted the rest of his classmates wanted to see him in his sunbathing outfit.

Hopping down into the courtyard by the entrance, he gritted his teeth a little as a sentry walked by. School security had been upped a lot lately, mostly police but Serenity had said she worked something up. The only 'defense' Varen had found was a jar of hot sauce over the front gate, set up like one of the water bucket traps, with a few thumb tacks inside it as well. But he knew she likely had something else set up around the school, most likely around her dorm. He hadn't visited her in quite a while, mostly as the cameras were now good enough to track him even with his speed. Even walking in there saw the janitor recite protocol for at least an hour...

Seeing a text come in from Oran, he opened it up to find a new groupchat. The old one was empty since the night, only containing him now. Popping in a reply, all he said was Aigt i"ll go. dont gotta bag me too go Deciding just to in a pair of black running pants and a tshirt, he checked around to see if anyone else was doing anything. Going by the greenhouse, he noticed Miri was inside, and Serenity was outside, doing something with a kite and a broomstick. Deciding to give her some space, he went inside. "Hey Mimi, you going to the party tonight?" As he asked, he noticed her message pop in. "Oh, uh... Well, nice!"

Miri had barely sent the message when she heard the familiar creak of the greenhouse's door. People didn't visit often here after the botanical studies course was done for the day. But sometimes people popped in to visit her.

"V-man!" She greets, "Good afternoon." Miri brushes some potting soil off her leggings. "Yeah, figured it'd be nice to unwind, my grades are decent enough." A steady line of C's. Just enough to keep mom off her back but not enough to draw the attention of dad's group. The perfect medium.

"I take it you are too?" Glancing up from her phone, she looked him up and down. Miri had been planning to get a bit more dolled up than the casual theme Varen was sporting. Surely she could find another happy medium.

"That's rad. We can head out together. But I gotta change first though, don't think dirt is party dress code." She motioned to brush dirt off her cheek but only spread more around. She sighed, "Maybe a shower too."

Her attention is finally drawn outside the greenhouse. Through the murky glass she can see Serenity's blue locks. "What in the world is she doing?"

Silver managed to get out of the hospital without much damage to his body as he wondered what happened with that villain Derek went off to since he collapsed with blood loss and has shards of glass stuck into his back and arms. With that memory so far as he remembered he managed to get his class work in order as now it is in the midpoint of the year as he trained and studied hard without any rest to surpass and not anyone get hurt and make sure the villains get defeated before they could harm anyone else. Silver's grades were normally A to B but after the villain attack and issues with his injury it got to only B and one A which annoyed Silver as he strived to be the best as he could.

Unknown to Silver he felt a buzz as he stood up with ice covering his arms until he noticed it was from his phone, defrosting his ice from his arm leaving the ground in flakes of ice his now very cold hands touched the phone and looked at the message as he saw the party notice that Oran sent. He sighed softly unsure of this as he looks away before commenting on the chat "Sure....sounds fun..."

"Pfft, doubt anyone would mind much." Varen laughed as she managed to smear her cheek, responding "Trying out a mud mask? Yeah I am going, what would a party be without a living disco ball!" He pointed off to the side, keeping only half his face visible as he rapidly blinked and changed auras. Surprisingly, he was able to shift through all of them twice before they wouldn't work. "Aight... Not the best idea... Head hurts now." He rubbed his forehead after the display, the world still in multicolour for him.

Outside, Serenity worked away at slicing up the broom into good sized pieces. This one was really light, it needed to be if this was gonna work. Using tape and tiny amounts of superglue on the inside, she extended the frame of the kite well past it's regular. After a minute of waiting, she noticed Varen walking by, raising a hand to get his attention but being ignored. Grunting a little as she continued her work, she lifted up her construct- a very large, mostly empty kite the size of a person. She was allowed to leave the school for shopping, but she didn't trust the guys by the front gate. She knew they were after Ronneh and Charleh. So she had to get inventive with how she got around.

Watching her through the window, Varen commented. "Yeah... What is she d-" As she lifted a huge frame, he stopped and tilted his head. As she wrapped her hair around the frame, locking herself under it like some sort of wing suit, a strong breeze came through and lifted her off the ground, sailing off over the school wall and into town. "She's evolving."

“Kid, I’ve already got my share of problems, and now I've got to put time and effort into that villian that escaped. So, I'm not sure I have the time to take an apprentice.” Alistair stated, lighting rubbing the back of his back nervously. Internally, he weighed the positives and negatives. The biggest points were that he would have to focus less on his father, but it would be useful to have an extra pair of hands around the office. Furthermore, it would be much easier to train Magnus, with his memory abilities, than some other student. “Even I could’ve done more today. After all, he escaped. You'll gain experience overtime as you fight and train. That being said, I feel there is more going on than I currently know. This villain, as well as Doom from before, seem to be a smaller piece of a larger picture. I’ll grant your requests. With something bigger in the works, maybe having a bit of reassurance would be useful. When you find time, come by my Office. You seem to know a good amount about me, so I have no doubts that you know where it is.”. He wasn't entirely sure it was the best idea, but he knew it that if there really was something larger in the works, they would need all the fighting power they could get.

“Im fine. Check on everyone else.” Alistair replied to Renea. He had mostly forgotten about his leg. He gave Renae a grateful nod but dismissed the obsidian hands. He wasn't entirely sure who she was, but she clearly wasn't an enemy .

After it was all said and done, Nagare had, again, been useless in the fight. He talked big, but ended up falling short. Unfortunately, it had bothered him a quite a lot. Maybe it was because it was because he was against Derek, but his power had been rather useless. And unlike the others, he wasn't happy about the midterm exams. He hadn't studied at all, since he had been spending his freetime training instead. Naturally, Nagare is unexpectedly intelligent, given his past and personality. But even still, he wasn't very confident in his ability to take tests.

He was in his dorm, sprawled out on his twin sized bed when his phone flashed with a notification. A message from Oran. He was kind of relieved that the party was back on. It would get his mind off of things.

~Later~
Nagare wasn't sure what to wear to the party, so he decided to wear a semi-formal outfit. He threw on a pair of black slacks and a white button-up shirt. He didn't bother with a tie or any other formal pieces.

He left his dorm and made his way, stopping by the grocery store to buy some food for the party. He grabbed some high-quality steaks and shrimp, hoping it wouldn't be too expensive to pay for with the money he ‘found' earlier that day.

Finally, he made his way to the party. He was a bit surprised to see the massive house, but quickly forgot about it when he saw magnus at the door. “Yo! Mag!”

Divinity had been having arguably one of the hardest times readjusting to normal life after the mall attack. Every night her visions grew more vivid and terrifying, almost immediately awaking her up in a panic. However she was working on being able to go back to sleep despite that, slowly but surely. She did that by choosing that something was more important to her than death, as her consciousness seemed to pull the visions that would interest her the most.
While she tried not to make a habit of looking too far into the future of a relationship like she’d done with Bruno, it had become a pretty reliable counter to her night vision terrors. Though of course even that had its downsides, she was learning to push through them. She just had to ensure she took everything with a grain of salt, so that her mind didn’t wander back to the old visions. Something that was definitely easier said than done.
Staying with Oran for a while really helped, as she could stay close to him whenever things became too much. However it had been two weeks, and he was still in school, so after the first few days she’d learned to quickly calm herself down as to not wake him in the night when the terrors did slip through.
His schooling was important to his future as a professional hero. With finals coming up, she’d often encourage him to go to the library to prepare despite secretly need him around.
The new focus was slowly teaching her to control her visions better though, and she liked to think that one day her ability would give way to her will. That would require years of training, if possible at all, though.
Something else seemed to be helping her, were her visits with Magnus. Despite all the unanswered questions between them, he’d really stepped into the role of a supportive cousin. Everything always seemed a little better as he spoke with her, and hugged her before leaving. He was full of understanding and compassion, never once criticizing her for staying with Oran or any of her other usually questionable activities. He even bought the drinks for their party.
Overall he was just a really cool cousin.
She wished they could’ve grown up together.
“Or how’d finals go?” Standing up from the table with a cup of coffee in hand, Divinity moved over to him with a tired smile. The bags under her eyes had gotten a bit better, but had yet to completely fade away. Still, it showed progress.
Wrapping her arms around him tightly as she pulled him down for a deep kiss, she let it linger for a few moments before pulling away. “How’d my favorite man do on his finals?” She asked while gently resting her head against his chest, before reaching into her pocket as her phone began to blow up. Unlocking the screen before quickly scanning the chat over, Divinity shot her gaze up to Oran in disbelief. “The party doesn’t stop until 6am? Oran I’m not sure it’s smart to have a bunch of drunk hormonal teens in here until 6 in the morning.” Shaking her head with a soft chuckle, she slowly pulled away from him before moving back to the counters to grab a bowl of food for him. “I made you a salmon and rice bowl.” She smiled while bringing it over to him, knowing seafood was his favorite. Honestly it had been nice to have an excuse to pass time without worrying about sleeping.
“Why you enjoy that I’m going to shower and get ready for tonight.”
***
After she’d finished up her makeup someone rang the doorbell, so she went to answer it before grinning brightly as she opened the door. Magnus looked like he was going to tip over with all that alcohol. “Howdy stranger, let me help you.” She muttered through a giggle while grabbing some of the bags, and leading him inside. “Hey Babe, cuz is here!” The young woman called over her shoulder while setting the drinks on the counter.
“How’d your finals go Magnus?”

Hearing Nagare call out his name he broke out in a smile. Turning his head towards his friend he spoke, "Yo what's up, Nagare! Are those steaks I seeeee? Hopefully Oran has a barbecue here, though I'm sure we could fashion a makeshift one if not. We'd just need some charcoal and I could easily zip over to the store to get some." He turned back as the door opened to reveal Divinity. Letting her take some of the alcohol he grinned as well, "Thaaank you. You seem to be doing better!" He knew she wasn't fully recovered but he was happy to see her improvement. He followed Divinity towards the kitchen and set down the rest of the drinks on the counter. "Sup Oran! Also do you have a barbecue? Nagare and I want to cook some steaks. Maybe we could barbecue the shrimp too." he called out before responding to his cousin's question about the finals. "100% in all subjects, I do have an unfair advantage in being able to perfectly memorize all the content we learned." Magnus chuckled before continuing, "You haven't taken your midterms yet right? Hmm, oh I could give you all the knowledge necessary to pass them! It wouldn't even be cheating. It'd help take some extra burden off."

It would be great to finally have a relaxing and refreshing event like this. No strings, no catches, no villains. Magnus was actually really looking forward to better getting to know his classmates. Considering he hadn't spent most of his life in school he rarely got the chance to get to know so many new people. He was ready to enjoy the party, eat a ton, get drunk, and finally get a taste of a student's life.

Soaring above the cityline, giggling madly as the wind flew over her. She knew it'd work! This totally was going in that dumb costume thing Theo made them work up earlier in the year, just drawings but it'd probably go to when they graduated and got suits. Flying was always useful. The hard part was controlling which way she went... Using her feet and a piece of carboard like a rudder, she slowly circled around town, over the crushed area of the mall, over some neighbourhoods, and finally she spotted the bigwig district where Oran and his people lived. Swooping down low to traffic, only three feet above the tops of cars, she slowly tried to lose speed as she came into the yard. Instead, she only managed to do a loop in the air before smacking into a garden.

Receding her braids back into their usual duo, she tucked away her frame, popping it in one of her two bags with twenty pairs of shorts and vests, as well as one shoe. She hadn't found the other shoe, so she'd just have to borrow one of her pair got dirty. The other bag had an assortment of home made snacks and frozen waffles, three different kinds, as well as a pair of tiny grills and a toaster. Sadly, she couldn't bring her defenses with her, as there wasn't enough space on the frame... Though, she was ready for making whatever people needed! All the food had sticky notes on it: No cockroaches. No Glowing Boys.

Hearing Magnus say they needed a grill, she popped it out of her bag, her arm barely above the bush, still not haven got off the ground. "I got one! And waffles!" She wiggled it in the air, grunting and snapping as she tried to get up but was held down by a bush. "Hey, someone get over here an help!" Kicking her legs furiously, she shouted again "Right now you shoddy heroes!"

Cross was never the one to be tech savvy but he was able to answer the phone without any problems, technology kept getting even crazier. It was fine though because soon... everything will change. Cross had just gotten off a phone call and now he had to make another call. He scrolled down the contacts to find Lucifer...

Oran went back to his house to check on Divinity before getting ready for the party, she’s been getting better though. Those vision she talked about must really put a number on her, the ability to see the future can sometimes be a blessing or a curse. Putting down all the stuff for the party by the door he approached Divinity “Piece of cake!” He shot her a thumbs up and sat down to eat the meal she prepared for her “thanks! How’d you been feeling? I got a surprise for you. I’ll give it you after i eat” he shot her a wink as she left to take a shower. The food was delicious, she has always been a great cook, Oran cleaned the plates and prepared everything for when the guests arrived. Oran heard someone knocking on the door but Divinity beat him to it “Hello guys! A bit early but that’s fine” he said while rubbing the back of his head “come on in! Make yourself at home”

Errant Singularity wrote:"Pfft, doubt anyone would mind much." Varen laughed as she managed to smear her cheek, responding "Trying out a mud mask?

"Hey, hey there Lightshow at least let a gal get her shades on first." She chuckled, sliding her pair of mirror aviators back on. "Oh buddy, the gag is always worth the pain." She gave him a comforting pat on the arm. Then their attention turns outside the window.

"Huh." Is all Miri can manage as Serenity ascends over the walls. Crossing her arms, she posed her hand under her chin, "Certainly one way to do it." She had essentially done the same thing to get to the mall during the... event. "She sure is creative." And Miri leaves it there.

"But I really do need to stop by my dorm, I need to pick up some necessities." She says slyly. The object in question was a worn silver flask sandwiched between the two dinky mattresses in her dorm. Father's gin, top shelf stuff, saved for a special occasion. "Shouldn't take too long." And she heads off in the direction of her dorm.

The door opens silently when she arrives and she peaks around for her room mate. Nowhere insight. Cool beans.

She washed the dirt off her hands and face first. Then Miri plucks some seemingly random articles of clothing off the floor, proceeds to rifle through her drawers. She pulls out a garment, gaudy, crushed red velvet, black feathered lining. Truly a hideous jacket. "Maybe on another outing my sweet." Miri whispers and pulls out a denim jacket, riddled with patches and pins instead. Olive shorts, a pastel pink tank top with a light floral pattern that maybe a little large for her and the jacket over top. She slips the flask down her shirt front for safe keeping and almost heads out the door.

"Wait." She says aloud, retraces her step to her dresser, a wicker basket filled to the brim with sunglasses sits. Miri rifles through her collection, selecting a pair of shades with thick white cat eye frames, the lenses reflecting pink.

"Party Shades." Accompanied by a dramatic sweeping hand gesture, "Let's boogie." And heads out the door.

[Yvette]
Yvette walked onwards, a sense of accomplishment swelling in the fact that she had slowly begun to gain a mental map of the area. Looking down at her phone, and after a quick use of Google Translate, she was now on her way to the party. "How exciting, our first American party!" Yvette spoke to herself as she followed the instructions to location.

Reaching the building, Yvette, as was the usual, blasted in through the doorway using her power. A strong gust of wind followed by Yvette's hearty "Hello, our class-friends!" She stood wearing the 'Babe Patrol' shirt that Divinity had gotten for her. After the assault on the mall, Yvette was relieved for the chance to unwind with her new friends. Seeing the many faces that had arrived before her she sheepishly ran a hand through her hair, "Are ve late?"

[Rel]
Rel had been used to being guided by Fugue, the bird resting on her head as it carefully helped her maneuver through the streets. Arriving at the place, Rel could easily overhear everyone, standing in the doorway timidly. "Hello, everyone! Blind girl entering the room" she noted as Fugue let out a sharp cry, "Watch where you're going, cause I sure can't." She may have miscalculated the whole plan, entering a completely unknown area that was more than likely going to be blasting what senses she had left. So she simply fidgeted in place, facing a wall as she addressed the issue.

As the kaleidoscope of colours faded away, Varens vision returned to normal thankfully. Following Miri to the girls dorm,s he stopped before stepping inside. "Oh, yep, I can wait here..." As she went about her business, he was shifted off his feet and moved to the side by something hard as Clare walked by, carrying a bag of her art supplies with her. "Hey, you going to the part-" He stopped abruptly as she scowled at him.

"I have family business. I'm going to be gone for a week. Now leave." She kept walking, floating through the gates into the parking lot and into a black car that was waiting outside. As it drove away, Varen noticed a small girl walking by, in an oddly formal dress. He couldn't recognize her, actually. Reaching out to tap her shoulder, her frightened look at him stopped his hand, before she ran off back to her dorms.

"Uh, well, okay!" He had wanted to ask who she was, but it was fine. "What a nice girl..." He mumbled to himself, going back to leaning on the door frame. As Miri exited the dorms, he stopped for a moment. Looking at her outfit, he chuckled for a moment. "Well, I thought I was the colourful one! Ah, wanna get going? I could fly us there if you want, wont take more than three minutes." He stretched his back, noticing how sore it had become from laying on the roof for most of the day earlier.

“Yeah, I’ve been pushing through.” Divinity teased back softly while leaning against the counter. Nodding in greeting to Nagare as he followed in after Magnus, she then continued with a slightly forced bright smile. “You and Oran have been helping a lot, thank you for that.” Turning around in excitement as Oran enter the room, the young woman swiftly turned to cling onto him. There was the boy she’d been wait to see all night. “Speak of the devil.” Waiting patiently as he spoke to the other’s, she noticed his slight hesitancy as he rubbed the back of his head. Was something wrong? The place wasn’t really set up yet, but it was actually nice to have the extra hands to help. Plus Magnus had brought the drinks, so she’d expected him to be a little early.
“Oh Babe! What’s my surprise?” She whispered softly, her gaze brimming with genuine excitement as she met his gaze. Divinity really loved surprises. Probably due to her power ruining anything that she had time to sleep on. So spontaneous surprises always left her slightly giddy.
However she was soon distracted by Serenity yelling by the door. Quite rudely by the end of it. “Girl you have got to learn to only pack as much as you can carry on your back.” Shaking her head as she ran over to help, Divinity smiled a little wider as Yvette suddenly burst through the doors.
“Hey!” It had been a week since she’d seen her friend, so tired or no she was full of energy. Hugging her tightly before noticing her shirt, Divinity point down at her own with a bright laugh.
I am Babe.
A shirt she’d paired with a red leather jacket, a short black skirt, some fish net leggings, an array of silver necklaces, some hoop earrings, and a gorgeous pair of black wedges. She’d wanted to wear her studded stilettos, but decided against it. As someone who was already 6’, she didn’t want to tower over everyone with the extra 8 inches.
Not at a causal party at least.
Inviting everyone in as Rel appeared, Divinity taped a note to the door as she escorted them back to the kitchen.
Come on in Wink
“Nope, actually you’re all a bit early. But that’s alright, right darling?” She explained in response to Yvette’s question before pulling all the salmon she’d fried out of the microwave. Honestly she hadn’t known about the party, she’d just own Oran would snack on it throughout the week so she’d made more than enough for everyone to try some. Then she’d ran to the pantry before coming out with assorted bags of chips and bottles of soda. Finally grabbed plastic utensils and paper plates, Divinity set everything up before tucking her blonde locks back behind her ear. “Give me ten and I’ll have some dip done that will knock your socks off. I can make some sauce for the shrimp as well! If there’s one thing this household does right it’s seafood.”
She was pretty used to working in the kitchen to help out Oran, so she knew where everything was. Taking a moment to set up Serenity’s grill, the teen then tossed the boys some sauce to put the steaks on before turning to work on the dip and sauce.
Sure enough, about ten minutes later she’d finished both with some borrowed help for cutting up vegetables. Setting them both up before glancing over at the drinks, Divinity thought them over while organizing the bottles. “I’m a pretty good mixer, what drinks are you guys feeling?” She asked causally before glancing down to Rel. “How about a virgin Cuba Libre for you?” She teased softly through a chuckle, though was serious about not giving alcohol to the freshman.

Silver followed the instructions as he entered the building and knocks on the door "Am I late...?" he spoke softly as he walked inside the room gazing around the room with his icy blue eyes. He looked around as he heard familiar voices as he sighed in relief knowing that he might've arrived at the party on time...since in his previous experiences he tends to not be invited due to his icy cold behaviour or arrives too late due to wrong instructions that he was given thanks to people thinking he would kill the mood but truthfully he was just...unsure on how actual light hearted parties function. Silver is wearing clothes that was the same as he wore when he went to the mall due to him not being a very fashionable person as he wears a black leather bomber jacket with a fur trim collar and a v-neck white shirt, black pants with three interconnecting red belts, and black boots and gloves. He wears a silver chain necklace with a grim reaper pendant and a matching ring.

"Thanks V, trying to get into a festive mood." She gave a spin and the buttons on her jacket clattered. She nodded, she was ready to have some fun. Miri's earlier guilt and avoidance was gone for now, hopefully it'd stay that way tonight. Father's gin would make sure of that.

"Oh flying," she hadn't been airborne since the forest flight, her wounds from the crash landing had healed and she hadn't developed an avoidance of it. She hadn't spoken to Drake since the forest incident, she hoped he was doing okay. Flying shouldn't be a problem. Besides she trusted Varen not to drop her. "Sure, can't beat three minutes. Can't let the party start without us!"

"Alright, how do we go about this? Piggyback? Do I hang off your feet? Sling me over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes?" She really hoped it wasn't the feet thing, she had terrible upper body strength.

"Well, I think hanging from my feet would work best..." Considering for a moment, he decided against, remembering the last time he tried to fly someone that way. Poor Arnold's legs would never be the same again. "Actually, nah, piggyback works. Probably safer." Crouching down a bit and putting his arms back, he waited for her to get on. The moment he could feel weight, he blinked and imagined the world blue, activating his aura. Jumping up, he called back.

"Wait wait I forgot, used up all my auras in the greenho-It's working!" He tried to hide his utter shock, at both forgetting he recently used up his auras, as well as the fact that it still turned on. Kicking his arms up, he nearly tossed Miri off his back, carefully grabbing her back down before bolting through the air like a racecar. Sailing over traffic, he did his best to avoid anything that may hit into his passenger, before overshooting the house and landing the two of them on the roof. Skidding to a stop, he swooped up again and through the front door, landing them on a table. Letting Miri off, he pointed dramatically to the window. "And guess who's arriv-Woah woah woah!" Forgetting to turn off his aura, he floated to and bumped into the roof head first, turned it off and landing on the floor. "-ved!" he called out triumphantly, pumping a thumbs up into the air.

[Nagare]
"Steaks, and shrimp. In hindsight, I should have grabbed some coal, and maybe some Cajun seasoning or something. I was sorta distracted. But oh well. It happens, ya know?" He finished talking just as the door opened. "Yo" was all he said as he followed Magnus in. "Thanks for the party, you two. It'll be nice to chill out for a bit." He smiled, holding the bad of food for the couple to see. Nagare rubbed the back of his neck nervously when the topic of midterms came up. He wasn't really involved in the conversation, but it still bothered him, given how his scores looked. "Show off" He sighed as he walked past Magnus, looking for a place to set the food. "Let's hurry and get cooking! I'd like to have these done by the time the party starts!"

[Yataka]
It had been a while since he had seen the others. During the day of the mall attack, he had taken the day to go visit his hometown and his family. He had enjoyed his stay, but was shocked and upset to find he hadn't been there when his friends were in danger. But, he did his best to shove it to the back of his mind, knowing it wasn't really his fault. During the midterms, he did well enough to score a passing mark. When he had free time, he would often return home and spend more time with his family

He had hesitated to go, but when the date of the party actually arrived, he decided he wanted to go. Of course, a trip from home to Divinity and Orans house would nothing, even if he couldn't teleport to the house directly, so he felt no pressure to hurry. Instead, he spent more time with his family. About an hour before the party, Yataka said his farewells and teleported to a marked location in his dorm. He figured the casual wear he was wearing would be enough an began heading that way, making it around the same time as the others

Magnus retorted back to Nagare with a grin, "Hey if you wanted good grades too you could've just asked me. Oh yeah these shouldn't take too long to cook, but it doesn't look like Oran has a grill." As he said that Serenity arrived and offered one of her grills that she just happened to be carrying around. "I'm surprised you had one on you, but I'll gladly use it. Thanks!" Divinity set up the grill just outside, lighting it with a few small but powerful sparks. With the grill lit he opened up the sauces that Divinity gave them and found a tool from the kitchen to slather the steaks with them and he peppered them up. He also used some of the sauce on the shrimp but set them aside. "Nagare, find some other spices that you'd think would go well with the shrimp and then we can barbecue them as well." Magnus placed the steaks on the lit barbecue and a few minutes later a great smell began wafting inside. "Shouldn't be much longer now." He opened the screen door and peeked his head into the house, calling out to everyone, "The steaks are almost ready guys!"

Quite a few of the people from their class had already arrived, just from where he was he could see Yvette, Serenity, Silver, Rel, and Yataka had made it. Miri and Varen landed outside where they were, seemingly Varen had flown them to the party. "Sup Miri, Varen! Glad to see you guys could here."

Picking himself off the ground, his pants already stained with a little dirt, Varen looked around to spot who was here. Noticing a good chunk of their class inside, he could only spot Divinity, Magnus, and Nagare outside at the moment. Looking down at his palm, he could see the blue aura had winked out, the rest still able to be used. Speeding himself up, golden light bathing everyone around him as he did, he stole a bag of jalapeno nachos from the table and appeared back in his spot, toothing away at the corner of the bag and struggling to open it.

"Hey uh, you guys working the meat? I'd like mine rare, like, extra rare. Foods best when it fights back before you can eat it, but rare works too." Finally ripping open the package, he caught every falling chip in his hand and made a bowl in his lap out of the largest ones, then plopped the rest inside his new construct. Carefully munching on the corner of one, he offered part of his kill to Nagare, a pair of chips in his palm. "Guessing you guys'll get hungry out here."
