Sliding across the ground, driven down by Epsilon's gravity, Varen felt no pain due to his orange aura. Turning off his red, he activated the violet aura- fluorescent light filled the area, making the smoke screen turn magenta. Turning to face Doom, now trapped by his comrades, he charged all the energy he could muster into his right hand. Welling it into the tip of his finger, he aimed it straight at Doom's chest- releasing a beam, closing the distance at a blinding speed, he hoped the blast of pure kinetic energy would effect him, even if he dispersed himself. His sunlight nearly ran out, he began to crawl on his broken legs and ribcage to over where he could hear the others before. Flopping down in front of Divinity, he used his good arm to give a thumbs up. "You know, Divles, never thought I'd say this but... I don't feel like fighting right n-" His orange aura fading, his pain caught back up with him, making him flop over and pass out in the dirt.

Doom seemed healthy for his age, but he actually had heart problems... during his whole fight against the KA kids, he’s been trying to hold it together. He was about to hit his limit, plus his ability is very taxing on his body. Every breath he took felt worse... he was going into cardiac arrest at this very moment. All he could do was watch the kid in front of him struggle to pull of one more move.

That’s when the idea came, this was his only chance to recover. He leaned to the right so that the beam of of kinetic energy hit his heart area. The attack was one big pump for his heart, kind of like cpr, the attack pushed him further back into the bus. Escaping the gravity field the robot has casted on him.

Dooms breathing became faster and his chest hurt like hell, but his heart was back to normal “that was a close one.” Blood coming out of his mouth, and his chest bruised. He struggled to stand on his feet but he managed to do it “not bad... but you won’t get so lucky the next time” he wiped the blood from his mouth trying to locate the ground of kids.

Silver mutters softly "You got to be kidding me..." sighing he looks around the others thinking of another strategy to stop Doom or just slow him down to where the other teachers or Pro Heroes arrive on the scene as he mutters softly "Anyone got a phone to call any pro heroes?" he snarked softly as he glares at where Doom crashed into. Silver tried thinking of many ideas as to stop him which involves Magnus hitting him with his powers then Yvette boosting Epsilon and his powers to freeze and stun him in place with a mixture of ice and gravity while the others attack him with everything they have...The ice hero in training sighs softly knowing that this move is risky and probably can go wrong in so many ways but...its worth something...right?

Silver looks to the others as he spoke softly hoping they would hear him "Everyone...I might have an idea...this might backfire in the most horrible way so this is only a suggestion but Divinity heal anyone with injuries then you." points towards Epsilon as he spoke calmly "Me and you will try and stop Doom like before but this time." Looks at Yvette with hope in his eyes "You will boost our powers to stop this Doom guy...Then last but not least..." Looks at everyone else with a small smirk "Give that guy hell...hit him till he over exerts himself since everything has a weakness..."

Atlas wrote:"...Oh no." Yataka's eyes widen with disbelief as he realized that he had blundered. Everyone he teleported ended up more or less in the same place. Except for the last one, Nagare. He had accidentally shifted thoughts from the target destination to another spot, in a totall different forest, where he left a vial of blood. It was originally meant as an emergency route home. Whoops. Thats where Nagare would be. Yataka lwt out a sigh and instanty transported Nagare back to his location. "Eh..sorry about that.."

Nagare wandered through the forest, looking for something familiar. Last he remembered, they were fighting Derek. And then Derek, as well as everyone else, was gone. Nagare had already pieced together that Yataka teleported everyone away, but wherever they were, they weren't near him. Nagare quickly realized, this wasnt even the same kind of forest! He began frsntucally looking around, hoping to find somerhing that might help. He finally managed to spot what looked like a village just a short distance further into the forest. Relieved, he began to jog in that direction, only to be shocked by another sudden change in his surroundings. His attention was quickly grabbed by rhe familiar voice of Yataka. "Eh?! You little-" He stopped as once more, the enviroment changed. This tine, he found himself and Yataka near the other students, teachers, and what seemed to be a fight with some strange man. Completely confused, Nagare just shoved the entire ordeal to the back of his mind and tried to get a sense of what was going on in the fight.

That gravity ability was a problem. Then he felt cold... his feet were frozen “Congratulatory, you got me stuck here... What will you kids do next? Come close and you’ll be trapped in the gravity field as well.” He was able to stand but was running out of breath... his hands were numb too. Plus the few hits he took we’re beginning to affect him “one wrong move can cost the lives of your teammates.”

By building up charge within the air and causing more interactions with the electromagnetic (EM) fields given off by the surroundings, Magnus is able to greatly heighten his electromagnetic sensing capability. However the further away the object is from him, the less accurate his sense becomes. This is due to the electromagnetic fields becoming weaker at greater distances and there being more EM fields in between that interfere. At a closer distances he can "see" more details, so while Doom and his classmates were close by he made sure to memorize the shapes of their EM fields and keep track of them. However there were two new people coming from what felt like the edge of the forest. Magnus quickly recognized one as Nagare due to having memorized his shape the short time they were together as partners. The other one wasn't new... but Magnus knew he hadn't interacted previously with whoever it was.

Magnus walked towards the two, his eyes closed and unseeing, and called out, "Nagare and whoever the shorter one is, come close and touch my hand. I'll fill you in on the details." Magnus held out his left hand for them, waiting to use his memory manipulation to input the information into their brains.

Immediately after completing that objective Magnus sensed something from the electrical blob that in his mind represented the faraway Doom. He may not have been able to make-out external details very well, but the electrical impulses of the heart were some of the most distinct in a human's body. "Cardiac arrest!?" Then as he noticed that another student was fighting Doom, the student seemed to send an attack at the villain. And Doom's heart started beating again. "It seems that we're unlucky. But the villain is truly on his last leg. We can win." Speaking to Nagare and Yataka again, "Let's help our classmates finish this."

After making his way back to the rest of the students with Nagare and Yataka and hearing Silver's speech, Magnus verbally agreed, "We can definitely win this now. Especially since Divinity has been healing him all this time, Maxwell should be waking up soon and he's got the power to finish this. Us students will need to make an opening for him."

Adam wasn’t at his prime anymore and just like doom, the hits they took draped more damaged. Their bodies were weak but Maxwell couldn’t give up... it was in his nature to be a hero. He slowly opened his eyes and quickly got up, his injuries must had been healed by divinity.

He took a good look at the kids and pained him to see them injured like that, even his grandson looks hurt. Maxwell blamed himself for this. “Good idea Silver” he said said as he walked from behind him and put a hand on his shoulder “someone call the police, but i am afraid i cannot let you kids get hurt. I’ll take this from here on.” He notice that the busses were blocked off by doom so that a no go. He stepped forward and dark clouds formed all around the area “I’m sorry... you kids must be scared and tired. Don’t think because you can get heal, you can be reckless and hurt yourself” he took a deep breath then the wind started blowing along with some thunder “you’re right Silver, everyone has a weakness. Coldness was Dooms weakness 50 years ago, but it seems like it isn’t as affective anymore... but his age is bringing him down.”

Oran stood up and held his side, one of his ribs must be broken plus he had a small concussion “Old man! I’ve never been happier to see you” Oran dropped to one knee struggling to keep the 25% going. Once it dropped, those heavy hits he took earlier during the fight might put him in a hospital.

Silver looks shocked as he turned towards Adam Maxwell and spoke calmly "Are you okay Mr. Maxwell?" concerned after seeing him so badly beaten before even though he was healed Silver was somewhat concerned for him. He heard what Maxwell said about his former weakness to ice as he mumbled softly "Ice huh? Shame...I guess my granddad would really put him in place..." he chuckled softly again on that Doom's age has slowed him down as he mutters to Maxwell calmly "We may be scared and tired...but...at least let us assist you sir...just in-" but before he could end his sentence he saw Maxwell's power as he noticed the clouds and storms as his eyes widen a bit in surprise

Watching Maxwell stand up again, Clare allowed herself a small chuckle. While he may be old, Maxwell was always just. She always expected him to throw on a suit and head out whenever villains were about, even if there was no suit she was glad to see him being a hero again. Resigning herself to defending Maxwell, she floated herself to a nearby tree. Doom was failing, he could no longer keep up the speed he had before. He could be hurt. Training her hand like a rifle sight, she aimed straight for Doom. The moment someone disabled him, she would end this. He was too strong to do away with when Maxwell originally defeated him, but now he could be taken out. A swift decapitation was the simplest way to end the fight. Something loud rang out from behind her.

Serenity crouched, suspended between two trees in a hammock-like construct of her own braids. She'd been tipped over, almost falling out, by a large hunting rifle in her arms. During all the commotion, she'd stolen back to the pile of weapons the teachers had taken from her before the exercise. Now in possession of her full arsenal, she was sure she could simply kill Doom. She hadn't accounted for bullet drop, however. The shot smashed against one of Clares' orbs, shattering the top half. Broken obsidian trickled to the ground like snow. Angrily tossing the rifle aside, she turned around and flopped onto her butt, grumbling away to herself.

Flinching and taking a step back as Doom burst through the smoke into their group, Divinity watched in horror as the villain latched onto her boyfriend before slamming his head into the ground with a massive amount of force. "No, Oran!" She cried out, beginning to run to him without thinking just before Doom picked him up and flung him at Silver. Her heart pounded rapidly against her chest as she silently watched the ordeal, not wanting to think about what she'd do if Oran wasn't alright. He had to pull through. Neglecting her healing responsibilities for just a moment, Divinity ran with her staff in hand over to Silver who'd managed to catch Oran. "Thank goodness..." She muttered softly as she studied them both over, finding that although they were in very bad shape they were both still breathing. However the blow Oran had received to the head was something that she'd yet to determine the severity of. "Thank you so much." Accepting Oran from Silver, Divinity wrapped and arm around him and lugged him over to Yvette, Rel, and Maxwell.
After that everything she had a hard time keeping up with everything. She was already healing the four in front of her with her staff, and the number of injuries just kept increasing. Honestly adrenaline must of been what was keeping Silver on his feet, because after coughing up blood he should've collapsed from internal injuries. He'd have to give in and drop back for healing soon if he didn't want to end up in an emergency unit.
Perhaps his determination was best though, as Varen suddenly fell at her feet along the others. "Hang on Var, you're going to be alright!" She attempted to comfort him, biting her lower lip as he passed out. Quickly adjusting one of the charms on her staff, the maiden couldn't help but panic slightly. This wasn't working! After a while they'd all be like this, passed out on the ground. Then what? She couldn't beat Doom on her own... She'd be knocked out, if not killed, along with everyone else. Then no one would be there to defend Maxwell...
After a while Oran came to, which made it really hard for Divinity to focus on her task at hand. What she longed to do was to jump down into his arms and wake up from this horrible vision. However at this point she has to face that this was probably reality. Probably. The amount of stress that disorientation caused her on a daily basis was not something she'd wish onto even her greatest enemies. An uncertainty that forced her to treat every situation like reality.
Though she didn't remember falling asleep, so that was proof enough for her until given a reason to doubt herself. Only the visions she received in her dreams were this vivid.
Shaking the thought aside as Maxwell finally regained consciousness, Divinity let out a sigh of relief. "Gramps! I'm so glad to see you!" Realizing her slip up in a school setting, the young woman quickly cleared her throat. "S-Sir." The young woman listened carefully to the principal's instructions while finishing up healing the other three before stumbling over to Oran and point her staff at Silver. Just one more...
Healing such massive injuries in such a short amount of time was draining her drastically. She felt lightheaded and her breaths grew increasingly heavy. Left untreated, everyone's injuries that day would've been more than enough to kill them. Magnus, Zion, Yvette, Maxwell, Oran, Rel, Varen, and now Silver... Given their serious and numerous injuries, Divinity was surprised she'd held on for as long as she had. Everyone was counting on her to heal them until the fight was over, but the truth was that she didn't have endless stamina. Maxwell was right, they were being too reckless.
However now she felt as if she could finally rest, propped up against Oran. Maxwell would handle the situation from here and insure Doom went back to prison where he belonged.

Both Nagare and Yataka, hesitantly, touched Magnus’ hand. “Some famcy power you've got. I suppose you couldnt make this villain forget that he is a bag guy, huh?” Nagare joked as they made their way to the others.

One moment, Nagare was carefully watching the fight, looking for a moment to jump in. The next, he was suddenly remembered his fight with Derek. His wounds, even though they already healed, began to burn and sting as if someone poured salt into them. Anger washed over him as the memories of his loss in that fight became more and more clear. With the battle going on close by, his anger was only fuel by sensory overload. Knowing that it was likely that he was one of Derek’s allies, he turned his attention towards the villain. Acting on his anger, he used his power and exploded outwards, growing into a beast-like mass of flesh nearly twice as large as his regular self. His missing arm was replaced by a large mace-like mass made of bone, and his other arm soon changed its form to match.

“It is noble what you’re trying to do Silver, but I’m afraid i can’t let you do that. The adrenaline is keeping you standing but once that’s gone, you’ll be in a lot of pain. For now let Divinity heal you up a bit and rest.” Heturned back to look at his students, all beaten up and some were unconscious. He took a deep breath before turning his attention to Divinity, she certainly looks drained as well. All this healing has her at her limit. He turned back to face doom and took a few steps forward “i can’t have anymore of you getting hurt, Divinity won’t be able heal you guys if this keeps going.” the wind picked up and the temperature dropped once again.

“Finally... I’ve been waiting for this... how many more kids will have to suffer? Come at me Adam!” Doom yelled as he noticed another student coming to attack. It didn’t matter the size, it will be the same results.

“Nagare stop! Don’t get near him” Adam reached out but he wouldn’t be able to make it on time.

Doom just phased through the kids attack and inserted all his finger inside his head. One movement and he could end the kids life, this was what maxson was afraid. Now doom had a hostage.

“Let him go...” he said. He began moving his hands in a circle aimed at doom. The wind started doing the motion as his hands. Adam was forbidden to do this move since it was declared too cruel, even he didn’t want to use it on someone... but at this point it was the only thing he could do. The wind started to incircle Doom, it made it harder to breath inside the bubble that was created. There was two variations to this move but Adam decided to use the less cruel one out of the two. He slowly moved him away from Nagare so he wouldn’t get killed, once he was at a safe distance he accelerated the speed which began to suffocate Doom. After a few minutes he released him think that it was enough to knock him out “it’s over” maxwell said as doom dropped to the ground.

It was true that Doom was suffocating, but it wasn’t enough. As soon as he dropped to the ground, he dismantled himself and rushed over to Adam. It only took him a second to get there, he quickly put himself back together and got ready to attack... but stopped a few inches away from Adam. He was so close... but he couldn’t move. His left arm started to feel numb again and the pain in his chest came back. Soon he took a few steps back trying to breath, he was going into cardiac arrest again. He dropped to his knees twitching and turned to look at Adam “He’s alive...” he forced before busting out into a laugh and falling to the ground. Then the laughing stopped... the twitching stopped along with it.

Adam was shocked at what just happened, he looked back at his students then nagare. A few seconds ago there was sumuch chaos by now it was just silent. He went to check on Doom to see if he had a pulse but there was nothing, he died “Rest in peace... Gregory... my old friend” he closed his eyes with his hands and sat down next to Gregory’s body. A few minutes later the police came along with firefighters and paramedics. Police Helicopters came and along with them the Media helicopters, this was gonna be a mess.

"Being a hero isn't about upholding justice, it's about making the decisions others wont." Clare tried to console Maxwell, having been making the same decision beforehand. Still, she didn't understand why someone else hadn't just finished him off before this, that way people wouldn't have been hurt as badly. She wished she could've had more effect on the fight, she wasn't even sure if Doom had noticed her two attacks on him after he struck her- he'd already been phased when they landed. She'd have to practice harder to face villains like him in the future. Preferably in the far future, however.

Watching the rest of her classmates, she felt disappointment in them for fairing so poorly- but even moreso in the teachers. Both Theo and Vala could have contributed majorly, especially Vala. The whole fight could've been ended with one strong shot if she'd cancelled Doom's powers. The janitor at least stepped up to fight, as did Maxwell. Not understanding Maxwell's mourning an enemy, however, she turned away, making rigid platforms under her feet to float away on. The press would likely want to what she had to say, and police interview her, but she didn't really feel like interacting with more people today. Well, one quick word wouldn't hurt too much. Looking down at Divinity, she called over "Oracle. I'm going back to my dorm. Tell everyone not to worry."

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Floating down into the courtyard, pulling off her hoodie slowly, she began to walk over to her dorm- only to stop. There was a student not at the forest activities today, for sure. She assumed she just hadn't seen her due to coming late herself, but she could hear her inside the last dorm on the girls side. Knocking once before opening it, Clare came inside. "Adriella... Why didn't you go today?"

"Not goin. Told you and the stinkin robot I'm not. I'm staying in here till everyone leaves me alone about stupid trips!" A young blonde girl, dressed up in an old doll-like fashion, sat in the corner, hugging a large green stuffed bear. Pointing a hand at Clare, it cracked and shook, before turning into a long knife-shaped object, retaining the colour of flesh. "Now get out."

"Stop being stubborn. There's not reason for this." Clare rolled her eyes as Adriella refused her requests again, again to march up and make her, but she was stopped by a second outstretched arm. A glistening, red and orange apple was offered to her, obviously a negotiation tool. Grabbing it up greedily, Clare began to exit the room. "I'll check in tomorrow!" Outside, she began to nibble her prize immediately.

After being slammed on the ground by doom everything became blurry for Oran. His power dropped from 35% to 0% as he closed his eyes, he could hear what was going on around him but couldn’t open his eyes. After a few minutes his head injury started to feel a lot better, and he was able to open his eyes for a few seconds. Divinity really was an angel. She was always there for him, her healing made him feel peaceful... even though there was a powerful villain right in front of them “thanks Divinity... but i have to do something...” he reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone. One bar was all he needed to call the police, he struggled to put the phone next to his face but managed to do it “The villain Doom is at the Knight Forest... send help quickly...” he hanged up and dropped the phone.

Once his grandfather got up to fight again Oran knew this was over. Adam was old but he was still powerful. He sat up and leaned against divinity “i think i have a concussion...” he forced trying to get to his knees. Oran took a good look around and saw his classmates. It just angered him... if only he would’ve done something sooner, or if he figured out a better way to attack Doom. He slammed his fist into the ground a few times trying to calm down, but he was just disappointed with himself.

A few minutes later he watched along with the rest as the Villain fell to the ground laughing, and the police came to the scene. The paramedics came to their aid and took the injured to the hospital. The police took Adam to the police station so he could explain what happened, they were all trying to be heroes, but they were all in trouble.

After she'd finished healing Silver, Divinity turned to face Magnus and smiled slightly as she felt Oran lean against her as well. Using their weary states to prop the other up as they both caught their breath. Giving herself a few moments to recover, the young maiden then proceeded to lift her staff on Magnus' rather serious concussion. She nodded curtly at Oran's concern, before drawing in a deep shaky breath. Her vision was blurring slightly overtime, and her stance became harder to maintain. She hadn't been ready to handle healing so many in a fight to the death... Making her painfully aware of just how much more training that she needed. "Give me just a second and I'll look it over." She promised weakly as she focused on Magnus, who was beginning to look better even physically. Finishing with a smile, she then slowly turned to Oran and cupped his cheek with a soft grin. Deep down she knew what was happening between Gramps and their attacker in that moment, yet she could know long hear anything at all. Slowly running her hand up to his head, Divinity forced the last out her power out to heal him up the best that she could be passing out. From then on she'd have to count on Oran for support, as her limits had been reached quite a while ago.

Silver groaned as he lays on the floor after getting healed as the ice user couldn't move his numb body even healed he still needs some rest after using his ice powers like that and losing so much of his blood. After a few minutes Silver turns his head he saw how Adam somehow kill that villain Doom....or rather Adam called him old friend but before he could even mumbled the words the paramedics came and took the injured ones to the hospital, feeling disappointed he wanted to thank Divinity and possible say sorry to Yvette for not being much use in the fight and that he let her down feeling somewhat guilt at his failure.

1 week past after the kids were attacked during the forest activity, all the students were released from the hospital. The school would return to normal... or at least try to. The media came to the school trying to get more information on the attack. Maxwell has to go to court a few times to give his testimony, and had to give out a public apology. The students were hurt and there was a casualty, didn’t matter if it was the villain. As a hero, Maxwell failed to protect his students from being injured... and he failed as a friend, he failed to save Gregory.

Oran still had to take some pills for the pain and had to keep his head wrapped around bandages. What happened during the forest activity was in the past, so it was time to move on. He proudly marched through the halls and entered Mr.Theos class... which was empty “i guess I’m the first one today.”

Silver looks up at the school feeling...unsure as now the media is lapping this up and began hounding so many people from the school to get the so called "big scoop" as Silver sighs softly as he began thinking in his mind "A week....after all of that..." as he walks into the school exiting from his dorm as he managed to get to Mr. Theos class as he looks in and saw Oran. Silver looks calmly as he sat in his spot and calmly spoke "....How...is your condition?" as Silver has his left arm in a brace which the arm was pretty hurt badly and he has bandages wrapped around his upper body from the wounds he got.

"...was actually two villains at the forest! While Doom may have caused the most harm, the first was more destructive. I don't know if the forests' center will recover, I used to live in one and a crater like that sure could cause problems... Oh, yeah, I fought them both. Neither went that well really. These guys are tough, from what I saw on the news, the first even attacked and destroyed another town. We were lucky all of us survived, really... Never feared for my life like that before, but I think I came out stro-Ow! Ow, ow ow... One second can't talk too long, lungs still got a lot of bruising..." Varen turned away from the cameras, walking off to go back to his dorm now that his chest was yelling at him.

Classes were gonna start soon, and he still needed to get fully dressed. He got a little excited when he saw the press, hopping out the second story window without a shirt. Blinking away everything, activating his yellow aura as he opened his eyes, he raced around the building to get to the door, ducked past Zion up the steps as he came down, and quickly chose the first shirt he found. Looking down, he noticed it was covered in stains and dirty. Using his speed to go through his wardrobe, he noticed all but one shirt was dirty... One of his pajama shirts, with a bunny eating a strawberry on it. Turning around, he ran to the washing machines with a basket full- all of them were in use. Running to the other side of school, he popped everything into the girls washing machines, hoping nobody saw him, before bolting back to the boys dorms. Running back outside, he finally turned off his aura as he reached the press again, his eyes slightly stinging and his breath lost. As he spent ten seconds heavily breathing, not able to speak, they turned around and looked for someone else to talk to.

Even after a week had passed, it seemed the storm had yet to calm. Reporters were on every corner, which wasn't helping her conceal her true identity, and her spare time was consumed with helping those in the infirmary. It was exhausting, however she felt like it was the only way she could redeem herself after the battle. Doom had never attempted to attack her even once, nor had the man before him the others had told her about. Aside from being emotionally and physically tired, Divinity hadn't truly been hurt.
Not in the battle at least.
Her true war had starting waging in the nights after the encounter. Night visions had always been her form of dreaming, different possibilities for a near reality filled her mind as she lucidly walked through the streams of time. It was interesting, and often pleasant, filling her with excitement of what surely was just around the corner. However after witnessing Doom's demise, those visions had become twisted and deranged. Every night screams echoed through her mind, unable to wake herself as these sick realities came to life in a manner that felt just as real to her as when she were awake.
Each new vision brought with it betrayal and death. Staring down upon the bloodied forms of her friends, classmates, and teachers were more than enough to leave her devastated throughout her day... However her vision from last night had been all too much for her to handle, with the body she stumbled upon belonging to none other than Oran. Nothing could've prepared her for that. Where had she been in this reality? Who had been strong enough to have killed him?
Such questions only opened the gateway to many more realities.
Realities where she'd find Oran's lifeless body in countless different conditions, sometimes alone and sometimes beside her own.
She couldn't stop her hands from shaking as she slipped into the classroom, flinching as she met Oran's gaze before drawing in a deep breath. Whenever she woke from such vision she'd sneak into the boy's dorm or the infirmary to sleep beside Oran, which would've probably gotten her in trouble had he not been the grandson of the headmaster. Despite the fact that she had him to calm her and to rely on, explaining the terrors she witnessed to him hardly did any good. These weren't nightmares, as she didn't dream. These were the paths their futures were leaning towards.
Something was coming.
The only problem was she didn't know what or how. Doom had passed on... Who else would come for them?
Slowly making her way to the seat beside Oran, Divinity spared no form of greeting as she laid her head against his shoulder and closed her eyes. She wasn't sure she was ready to come back to school, however she forced herself to stay as collected as she possibly could. With so many students just being released from the infirmary she was certain there would be need for a healer throughout the day. "...How's your head?" She finally forced out softly, paying little to no attention to her other classmates as they entered. Her energy was already completely drained from just walking to class.

Naro wrote:“It is noble what you’re trying to do Silver, but I’m afraid i can’t let you do that.

Gregory Lether: Deceased.

DannyGirl~ wrote:After she'd finished healing Silver, Divinity turned to face Magnus and smiled slightly as she felt Oran lean against her as well.

He proudly marched through the halls and entered Mr.Theos class... which was empty “i guess I’m the first one today.”

The tornado that Principal Maxwell surrounded Doom with was interfering with Magnus' electromagnetic sense to see what was inside, so he would have to wait like everyone else to see if Maxwell's technique would end the battle. As the wind calmed he could tell that Doom was still breathing but then he sensed it again, Doom's heart failing. This time there wasn't anything that would save him. It was over. The adrenaline began to fade from his body and his legs turned to jelly before he fell over. But then he heard Doom's statement and his laughing, it made Magnus' veins turn stone-cold. That wasn't the laughing of a man who had failed. He shook his head, he could believe it was over. Magnus shut off his electromagnetic senses because he didn't want to think about it anymore. So he didn't realize Divinity had come over to him until his pain started to lessen. He had been relying on his electromagnetic sense to "see" while his real vision was pitch black. But as Divinity began healing him with her staff light slowly started to filter into his world again, but it was a dim light. Just as the light began to brighten it went pitch black again and he passed out.

[One Week Later]

A week later Magnus was slowly getting himself out of bed, still not fully recovered from the injuries sustained in the forest. The media pestered students for interviews for several days after they got back, which Magnus luckily avoided by being stuck in the infirmary for a majority of that time. The few times an interviewer approached him, they were leaving a few moments later curiously with no memory of their interaction or even why they were at the school in the first place. Their electronic devices were also curiously fried.

Magnus had been worse for wear than most of the other students. He had gone from taking an explosion from point blank range (with only his chains in the way) from one villain to getting combo-ed to high heaven by the other villain. His face was in the dirt a lot that day. Of course, Divinity had healed him in between both instances as well as after everything was over but he had suffered several gnarly concussions with damage to his optical nerves (temporary thanks to Divinity) in the span of an hour, not to mention to other injuries along with his chains being destroyed in the first villain's explosion. His chains had regenerated but the pain from them being destroyed was much slower to go away. It was almost like a phantom pain, but he knew from experience it would go away eventually. Perhaps if he were more skilled with his electricity he could manually stop the neurons responsible for pain from firing for no reason, but alas he was not at that level with his ability. For now he'd just have to wait it out.

He finished getting dressed and replaced the bandages on his head with fresh ones. Throwing his backpack over his shoulder as he walked out of his dorm room and into the hall he headed towards Professor Theo's class, the first class they were having since the Knight Forest invasion. He passed by Varen on the way out who was busy  His thoughts went back to that day because there were still many unanswered questions. He mumbled quietly to himself about them, "Why would villains choose to target a bunch of students on a school trip? I know we live in a society of superpowers but I just can't believe they'd be that comical because it didn't seem like they had some ideology they wanted to preach about or even fight for. Those two villains, Epicentral and Doom, had no prior connections to each other and were clearly fighting for different reasons. I can't be expected to believe they'd coincidentally attack the same group at the same time for no reason. It just doesn't make sense..."

Before he knew it he was inside the classroom, too engrossed in his thoughts to notice his autopilot had already taken him to his destination. Silver along with Oran and Divinity were already there. He waved to icy boy and Oran before walking to his desk, "Sup Silver, sup Oran." Divinity was seemingly sleeping on Oran's shoulder but Magnus still called out to her, "Hey thanks for all the healing at the forest and afterwards, cuz!"

While she was surprised to be pulled from her state of silence so soon, Divinity wasn't upset in particularly given who'd called out to her. At first her face remained blank as she opened her emerald eyes, however relief soon flushed over her upon meeting Magnus' gaze. Despite numerous classmates corpses haunting her throughout the past week's nights, he had yet to appear to her in any form of a broken state. Making him one of the only people in class that she could still look in the eyes, along with Heidi and Zion curiously enough. "...It's no problem at all." Standing as she forced a smile, Divinity slowly walked over to Magnus before squatting down to wrap him in a warm embrace. For a short moment she saw the tree made of blood once more, though it slowly faded to reveal a younger Magnus with a bright contagious laughter running around the home she recognized as her aunt and uncles. He couldn't of been more than two or three... Part of her wanted to dig deeper, to find out what had separated him from his family. Their family. However she knew that wasn't her place, and swiftly pushed the stream of consciousness aside. He could tell her in his own time. "I know we haven't talked this out yet, but it's nice to have family here in times like this... Just keep your guard up, it's not over yet." She warned quietly before pulling away, and scanning the class. While she desperately longed to tell him more than that, that was all she'd figured out so far. Once Gramps had returned from testifying in court, she was hoping he could help her work through the rest. For the time being it was too painful for her to dig through her visions for a source... Not when both her own life and Oran's were often lost in the flow of the alternate realities. For now everyone just needed to stay of edge. "That being said the future is ever changing! So try not to panic!- Just be careful. I don't want to lose the family I just gained." Immediately comforting as she patted his shoulder, Divinity then returned to Oran. Only then realizing that with all the chaos she'd never actually told him about Magnus being her long lost cousin, he was probably really confused. However she couldn't bring herself to explain something with still so many questions left unanswered, when she was completely vexed and exhausted. Mediating against Oran was her best bet at getting some true rest, as sleep would drag her back into the horrible visions plaguing her. It might not help the dark circles under her eyes, but it would help her peace of mind. So that is exactly what she went back to.

Stretching her fingers wide, Clare let her arms loosen. She'd been up all night, drawing a rendition of Doom, as well as Epicentral from what she could gather from the people in the infirmary.

It was an image of humans. Doom and Epicentral were laughing. The students were cowering. The image relates to the devastation of the Knight Academy advanced class. The image was commissioned by Adriella.

Turning to her neighbour, Clare passed over the drawing. It was quite lifelike, even down to the blood stains in the dirt where Orans face was being thrown, and the shards of Magnus chain links flying away from Epicentral. The pair of villains were shown facing opposite directions in two different forest clearings, their backs to each other as the groups tried desperately to survive. Maxwell was rising up from his knees, a storm brewing around him, ready to protect his students to the last. "It's low quality, I had only one view of the scenes, and I only worked on it for thirteen hours. I hope it sums up the experience for you."

Adriella nodded, looking over the picture. "Is okay, wish you painted it." She held out her hand, which began to crack like drywall, her finger taking on the shape of a lighter, a small flame shooting out of it and igniting the paper. Dropping the burning picture out the window, she snapped off the finger, which turned to dust as it fell, before her hand returned to normal after more crackling. "I could get rid a those if you wan'" she offered, pointing to the pile of artwork Clare had in the corner and on the walls.

"No, no... It's okay... I think it's time for class anyway..." She sighed, thinking to herself 'This is why art shouldn't be shared...' Pushing herself up, she accidentally bumped one of her spheres into the back of Adriellas head as she walked to the door, opening it to let Adriella walk out first. She was mentally exhausted from the exercise, and watching a drawing of hers burnt made her somewhat upset. Clearing her mind for a moment, she focused on an image of a burning sphere of lava cooling to a perfect obsidian statuette, clearing herself of the needless emotions before walking in the direction of class. Adriella followed along, dragging a stuffed elephant with her, hugging it whenever someone passed them by. As they came in, she noted how few seemed to be here- Only Silver, Divinity and Oran, and Magnus. Sitting down in the back corner, she watched and waited for class to start, fiddling with her pencil and drawing a burning house on the back of a notebook.

Maxwell has a busy week, the media was bombarding the school and his home, he had to go to court, and take responsibility for the death of Gregory. Just for a moment he had time to breathe as he felt back on his comfortable chair. Only in his office he would have some time for himself, but just as he was about to close his eyes and relax. A blond kid stormed in the door “Principal Maxwell! I’m glad you’re all ok! I came back as soon as i heard what happened” he sat down on the chair in front of Adams desk and put his feet on his desk as well “But I’m finally back, also i got what you wanted” he slid a yellow envelope.

Maxwell just let out a sighed and watched the kid do his thing. Finally getting to the point, he took the envelope and saw the pictures inside “it’s... never mind. Good job, now get out here.” He placed the pictures on a safe behind him as the student left his office ‘S.I.N... they’re not even trying to be discreet anymore...’

Back in the classroom Oran smiles as his girlfriend rested her head against his shoulder, but she did seem a bit odd the last couple of days “hey Silver, hows your arm?” He asked his fellow classmate “my head is fine, i should be off the meds today” he replied and took out his phone when he got a message. He he didn’t open it when he noticed Divinity go over to Magnus and talk about something “hey Magnus, good morning” he said easing an eyebrow and standing up. Now that he took a good look at divinity she didn’t look good “Divinity you look really tired, let me take you to the infirmary... you haven’t slept have you?” He offered and hand when a blond guy kicked open the door and came in with some red roses and a ‘get better’ card “Ah! My favorite two people in the whooooooooooooooooleeee world~” he quickly approached the couple and gave the roses to Divinity “these are for you... and this is for you” he said and gave the card to Oran.

“Justin!” Oran said with a lot of excitement.

[Unknown Location; Week after attack]

Deep within the dark confines of the earth, a secure location that hid a force as malevolent as the cold hard metal wall that made up the tunnel system. The whirring of mechanical parts, and machines bursting, the crackles of fire mending and bonding metal filled the eerie silence of it all. One by one, mechanical autonomous constructs were being built, torn apart, and preparing. The glow of bloody lights flickering off as they are shipped off to various other locations in the abyss.

Amidst the cold hard walls, and equally lifeless machines was a single room. A simple enough room that contained a jet black table, and five chairs gathered around it. One of which was currently occupied by a man of his late twenties, an aura of malcontent washing off him. Resting in the chair, he held his head by resting it on his hand. His dull, tired eyes glued to a TV Screen: A news report on the recent attack on Kight Forest. How two villains attacked, one seemingly repelled and other having died.

The screen flicked off to black as an exasperated sigh escaped the man, his grip tightened onto a remote, before in a flurry of red it crumbled and seemingly disintegrate in his grasp. "Well, that moron lost. And the old man kicked the bucket" he noted as he glared at the space the remote use to take up, "Not that it matters in the long run I guess. Isn't that right, Larkspur?" He swiveled in his chair to face a young girl, despite her age...the sheer sense of malevolence coming off her were absurd. "That idiot of a grunt failed, and the Doom got himself killed" pinching the bridge of his nose, he shook his head in disappointment, before shrugging. Proceeding to stand up he sighed, "Not that it matters. Doom didn't compare to any of the five of us, at least the old dastard died happy...I assume" he walked up to 'Larkspur', he held out his hand as blue sparks erupted from it, offering a small effigy of Doom made from a remote. He pressed a button on its chest, and the television flicked back to life, "I'm heading out" he groaned as he pulled a mask out from his coat, "Don't stay up too late watching TV, kid" he joked, taking a glance at the screen. The news switched from the attack to the cities biggest mall, the crowds of people poring in, and workers praising it safety and good products.

A dangerous glimmer flashed through the villain's eyes, "Larkspur? do me a favor and contact the Big guy for me, please" he requested politely strapping the mask on.

"It seems society needs a reminder of the price that comes with Sin..." he growled through the mask, "Lets show them what real hell is like..." he kicked open the doors as he walked past a incomprehensible horde of robots, armed, and programed for one thing.

Knight Academy - Page 18 Empty Re: Knight Academy

Wed May 16, 2018 10:03 pm
Dragging his fist along the ground, Derek slammed it directly into the chest of a man wearing a gaudy green outfit. Releasing a small shockwave directly into his chest, he launched him tumbling through the air, ducking under a blast of fire. Stomping down with his foot, he released an equally large blast into the ground, collapsing the floors under the group. Tumbling through the air, he caught himself on a falling steel girder. A hero landed on the opposite end, a woman with vibrant pink hair and two massive mechanical gauntlets, almost as thick as her own waist.

Steadying himself as the hunk of steel fell, he charged up the beam, bringing an open palm up at her chin. Smacked to the side by the massive gauntlets, hydraulic fuel going to the max in it's inner workings, the top quarter of the building blew away from the blast he was preparing to release into her gut. The other gauntlet smashed into his face, managing to displace his view for a moment, but only that. Headbutting her in her chin, he launched a blast straight through her, sending her flying into the cityscape below.

As the girder smashed into the ground, two floors from it's initial position, he used the momentum to launch himself upwards. Clapping his hands together, he concentrated two blasts together, perfect resonance between his body and the blasts, amplifying themselves to higher than he could've created with such paltry energy. Releasing it downwards, the entire construction site began to collapse. Blasting through the air, he caught onto a falling mans cape, ducking past the fire he launched from his lower abdomen, then sending a shockwave through his feet into his legs, bones nearly liquefying under the force as Derek slammed into a wall like a falling feather, the man shot through a foot of concrete opposing.

Lunging downwards, Derek entered a free fall. Two people fell past him, more members of the Mediterranean Union of Heroes, whom he eliminated with a pair of concentrated kinetic blasts, barely thicker than his finger, straight at their necks. A man from below opened a pair of fleshy wings, flapping once and bolting past Derek. Turning in the air, he grabbed a falling hunk of concrete, aiming it at the winged man and launching it up at him. As the two collided, the rock exploded, the man having flown straight through it. Racing down to Dereks level, he pulled out a pair of humming, red hot knives, striking out at Derek. Blocking with his arm, the blade managed to slice through his flesh, despite being a kinetic weapon.

Wrapping his legs around the flying mans waist, he began to release a weak but constant flow of kinetic energy out of his shoulders, ripping off the mans wings. His scream lost to the wind, Derek flipping them in the air, feet on his back, using him as a platform to launch off of. Flying up through the air, he was met with a hailstorm of bullets, the energy completely absorbed and rejuvenating his stores slightly. Rising to the level of a helicopter, he drew his head back, headbutting the windshield and releasing twenty percent of his energy straight forward. The blast completely annihilated the vehicle and it's occupants, now dust and red mist in the wind.

Landing on the ground finally, a dustcloud exploded around him, the debris hitting the ground moments after he did. A limping man, carrying a glowing red axe, came hobbling out of the rubble. "Y-y... You're a m...Monster! I'll end you... Here.." He meekly swung his axe at Derek, who didn't move from his spot. The weapon fell from his hands and he fell to his knees, before falling onto his face on the pavement at Derek's feet.

"I told you, I'd come for your little union. This time, none of you are getting away." Derek raised his palm, releasing half of his remaining energy outwards, blowing away the ruins of the construction site, which was to be the Mediterranean Union of Heroes' new headquarters. Now nothing but a massive dustcloud, it mattered little. All the would be occupants had passed on. Brushing off his coat, Derek looked surprised as his new phone rang in his pocket. Looking at the cracked screen, he looked elated as a familiar number came up on the screen. Answering in a heartbeat, he began to talk. "Hey honey! I'm just at work, outside right now... Yeah, the new construction sites really loud... Kinda ridicu-" He was cut off by a bullet.

Knees shaking, a man in uniform aimed a magnum at Derek, having shot his phone. Dozens of other officers had assembled behind, most with similar composure. "Trust me, you don't wanna do this..." He turned away from them, starting to walk away. As an anti-material round bounced off his cheek, he turned around in time to see an armoured individual lunging at him, rock gathering from the nearby environment. "Guess you do..."

Knight Academy - Page 18 Empty Re: Knight Academy

Rae's surprised gaze flashed around the hallway; irises so wide her eyes looked black. Her gaze flew from one row of stitches, to a sling, to a set of crutches, and back to more stitches. "What the hell did they do to these guys?" she muttered out loud, mostly to herself. Rae had spent the past few days training on her own while all of the students were gone. When she heard they had returned, she was rather curious to see how much they had improved. But nothing had prepared her for this sight. She quickly checked the news, eyes scanning the different media reports of the attacks. "So something called Doom attacked them?" she murmured, eyes on the screen. A nearby boy turned to her, "You mean you hadn't heard? The training camp took a quick turn for the worst. I'm surprised so many students made it out alive." Rae blinked in surprise, "It was that bad?" She immediately turned and ran down the hallway, pondering the media and the boy's words.

Though curiosity usually lead her down a deep and dangerous path, Rae decided she had to know more. Her training allowed her a bit more time in shadow form than before, but she grimaced at the thought of it even now. She sighed, cracking her knuckles, "Time to get some answers." With that, she melted away into the shadows of the hallway. She watched as some people entered into Professor Theo's class, hearing a boy mutter the words, "Why would villains choose to target a bunch of students on a school trip?" Whatever else he said was lost to her, but she had heard enough to know that something strange had happened. "Always missing the fun part," Rae grumbled, immediately covering her mouth as she didn't want people to suddenly be alarmed by a talking shadow. She looked around, hoping nobody noticed her. When she saw no eyes on her, Rae emerged from the shadows, leaning against the wall and watching students pass through into the classroom, figuring that mere eavesdropping would be better suited for her.

"Villains, huh?" Rae frowned. From the looks of the students, she took an educated guess that they would have about as few answers as she did. A teacher walked by, and Rae instinctively shrank back against the wall, trying to avoid his gaze. However, it appeared she had come out of shadow form too early, because the teacher raised an eyebrow down at her. "Well, hello there. Rae, isn't it?" the teacher asked. Rae grinned sheepishly, "That would be me." The teacher looked down at her, "I don't remember seeing you at the training camp." Rae bit her lip nervously, "Yes, well, I-uh. I was... in shadow form most of the time." She mentally kicked herself, not believing for a second that the teacher would buy it. Rae hastened to continue, "You know, what with it being so difficult to control, I figured I would test my limits. Hardly anyone even noticed me, it's not just you." The teacher shook her head, "What ever will we do with you. Carry on, now. And don't think this is you being off the hook. Expect an email later in the week." With that, he strode away and Rae slumped against the wall in defeat. "In the clear for now, at least. Who needs training when you've got the art of being a terrible liar on your side?" she grinned. Looking once again at the pain some of the students still faced around her, she thought twice about her comment.

Rae regained focus, trying to listen in on what other people were saying, but was unable to gather much more information than what she got from that boy walking into the classroom. She considered asking her roommate who had surely been there, but shuddered at the thought of trying to have a human conversation with her. Instead, she shoulder her backpack, moving to head into the classroom. It was Professor Theo's as far as she could remember, and it was nearly full as well. "Sleep through everything and then almost late to class," Rae grimaced. She briefly wondered what the promised e-mail from that teacher would say, but figured it would be nothing positive. Regardless, she pulled out her notebook, cursing under her breath as she recognized that she had forgotten a pen once again. She scanned the room curiously, mulling over ideas of who these villains could have been. She nearly jumped as a thought crossed her mind. "If no one saw me at the training camp, and they were attacked by somebody who knew about it, I wonder if they'll suspect me," she wondered. Rae grimaced, hoping at the very least that that teacher wouldn't suspect her of anything, never mind the students.
